2 CHP Officers Resign in Misconduct Probe

Two California Highway Patrol officers have resigned after a misconduct investigation.
Sgt. Alfredo Lopez, 43, a 14-year veteran, was under investigation for the allegedly improper use of a criminal information system.
Officer John Quitoriano, 35, an eight-year veteran, was the focus of a probe into whether he falsified a Sept. 14 accident report concerning a 2002 Mercedes-Benz borrowed by the CHP for a parade.
