Firehouse Sinkhole Causes Crew to Relocate
From Times Wire Services
A sinkhole gobbled up part of the driveway of a firehouse in Zellwood, cracking the walls and causing a five-member firefighting crew to relocate.
The sinkhole, confined to a 30- by 60-foot area that included an area where firetrucks parked, had only begun to collapse a few inches. But walls of the 50-year-old fire station, about 15 miles northeast of Orlando, started cracking Friday. It was the third sinkhole in a month to form in central Florida.
