Guard Troops to Help With Border Security
From Times Wire Reports
National Guard troops arrived Monday at California’s border with Mexico to temporarily assist federal authorities with security and crowd control.
The first wave of about 260 Guard troops will assist Immigration and Naturalization Service officers at the San Ysidro port of entry in San Diego and the state’s five other border crossings.
