U.S. Jets Join Soviet-Era Foes at Air Show

For the first time, the U.S. Air Force brought combat jets to the Moscow International Air Show at Zhukovsky airfield, where the Soviet Union once tested its military aircraft. An F-15 and F-16 were parked opposite their former foes, the MIG-29s.
Robert Myers, an F-15E weapons system operator, said it was pleasant to be there, although “this airplane was designed to do things in Russia other than come to air shows.”
