U.S. Envoy Urges 2 Sides to Revive Stalled Talks

From Times Wire Reports

A U.S. envoy sought “concrete steps” from Israel and the Palestinians to revive peace talks, the latest indication of Washington’s impatience with the two sides’ inability to resolve more than three years of conflict.

David Satterfield, a senior State Department official, met Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Korei on a visit to the region meant to help restart the U.S.-backed “road map” peace plan.

Israeli and Palestinian officials have met repeatedly in recent weeks to try to set up a meeting between Korei and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, but no date has been set.
