Former Deputy Gets One Year for Child Porn
A former Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was sentenced Thursday to one year in county jail and three years’ probation for possessing an illegal assault weapon and child pornography.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Horwitz also ordered Richard Dario Comoe to register as a sex offender. Comoe pleaded guilty in November to the charges.
Comoe was arrested in August after deputies served a search warrant at his home and found illegal weapons and a computer disc with child pornography. Authorities said he sent lurid e-mails to teenage girls in the Deputy Explorer program.
