Rip Michels won his second straight Jani-King Super Late Model series feature as he won the 75-lap race Saturday night at Irwindale Speedway in front of 4,672.

Despite having only 21 cars in the field, Michels easily led the entire race, holding off challenges from Nathan Wulff and Ben Walker, who finished second and third, respectively. Wulff’s second-place finish was his highest finish since an accident sidelined him for the majority of last season.

In the 50-lap Auto Club Late Model Series feature, defending champion Todd Burns celebrated his wedding the previous day with his fourth consecutive win. Doug McComb finished second and Tim Huddleston finished third.

In the 40-lap West Coast Pro Trucks Series feature, Ontario’s Dave Lyons held off Aaron Staudinger for his first victory this season at the track.

In the 50-lap Ultra Wheel Super Trucks Series feature, Dave Blankenship could not hold off a late-lap surge by Ryan Arciero as the young driver squeezed past him on the backstretch with two laps left to win. Jim Kondziela and Brian Harris finished second and third, respectively, with Blankenship falling to fourth.

In the 35-lap Vista Paint Super Stock feature, Lee Ladd earned his fifth consecutive win this season.
