Student Leader Released After 9-Week Detention
Iran released a student leader who had been detained nine weeks after massive demonstrations in June. Saeed Razavi Faqih walked out of Evin prison in Tehran, friend Saeed Shariati said. Shariati is a senior member of the Islamic Iran Participation Front, the country’s largest reformist party.
