Carjacking Suspect Is Fatally Shot by Deputies

A carjacking suspect was shot to death by sheriff’s deputies in Lakewood on Thursday after he aimed a handgun at the deputies, investigators said.
The man who died was not immediately identified.
Detectives said officers chased the suspect’s car after witnesses said a man had tried to hijack their vehicle. The officers opened fire after the suspect stopped at 208th and Seine streets, got out and aimed his pistol at them, detectives said.
