Stabbing Victim Was From Palmdale
A man found stabbed to death on a dirt road in the San Bernardino Mountains was identified Tuesday as Edmund Manuel Marrujo of Palmdale, authorities said.
Marrujo, 51, was found on an access road to a water plant near Silverwood Lake on Monday morning, according to San Bernardino County coroner spokesman Randy Emon.
Emon said an autopsy determined that Marrujo died of stab wounds. A relative said Marrujo worked in the healthcare industry.
The relative, reached in Philadelphia, said the family is distraught and confused over the news of his death.
Marrujo’s body was discovered about 7:45 a.m. by Thomas Newell, superintendent of the Crestline-Lake Arrowhead Water Agency.
Newell said he turned off Highway 138 and was traveling down a dirt utility road when he came across the body about 100 feet from the highway.
