Robert Fick, a late addition to the Tampa Bay lineup, had a go-ahead RBI triple in the Devil Rays’ 11th straight win, 2-1, over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Rocco Baldelli added a sacrifice fly, Carl Crawford scored two runs and Mark Hendrickson (5-5) worked six innings to help the Devil Rays post the best winning streak in the majors this season. With the win, Manager Lou Piniella moved past Miller Huggins for 20th all-time with 1,414 victories.

Fick was playing for Jose Cruz Jr., who was hit by a pitch Saturday and was scratched from the lineup because of a bruise on the back of his left leg. Fick’s triple came in the third.

Tampa Bay had been tied with San Francisco, which won 10 in a row in May. The last team to win 11 in a row was Minnesota last September.

The Devil Rays improved to major league-best 11-1 in interleague play.
