Queen knockoff
Richard CROMELIN’S review of “We Will Rock You” was right on the mark [“Bohemian Rapacity,” Sept. 10]. The play, just like “Mamma Mia,” takes some great music and turns it into mindless and disposable entertainment. The real tragedy is that, with the worldwide success of “Mamma Mia,” we’re going to continue to see horrible plays built on the back of recording artist catalogs. What’s next, musicals based on the music of Led Zeppelin, the Bee Gees and the Knack?
