Settlers’ Homes Won’t Be Razed, Israel Says

Israel plans to transfer Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians intact, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said, reversing a plan to destroy the homes during this summer’s withdrawal.
The decision, which would need Cabinet approval, was made in a meeting with top security officials, Deputy Defense Minister Zeev Boim said.
