Rulings on Police Use of Force to Be on Internet

The Police Commission on Tuesday approved a plan to publish on the Internet decisions about serious use-of-force incidents by officers.
On a 5-0 vote, commissioners decided to release a written summary of decisions from closed sessions on each use-of-force incident beginning Jan. 1. The new reports, however, will omit the officer’s name.
