O.C. Man With Body in Garage to Be Arraigned
A 47-year-old La Palma man arrested on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend is scheduled for arraignment at North Justice Center in Fullerton today.
Frank Robert Mallory, a longshoreman, was being held at Orange County Jail in lieu of $1-million bail in the death of Patricia Dunthorne, 41, whose decomposed body was found Saturday afternoon in the garage of a home the two shared in the 5000 block of Shirley Drive.
Police said the body, discovered during a visit by Mallory’s brother, had been in the garage for more than two weeks. Dunthorne, who was identified through dental records, sustained head trauma, authorities said.
Shortly after the discovery, Mallory got an attorney and refused to be interviewed by police. He was arrested at his attorney’s office in Santa Ana on Tuesday.
