‘American Idol’: the Web version
Can’t get enough of “American Idol”? There will be an online version late this year, according to Fluid Audio Networks, an L.A.-based Internet company.
The company said Monday that it has secured licensing rights from Fremantle Media, one of the hit show’s producers, to launch American Idol Underground (www.idolunderground.com), which will feature talent competitions in 13 musical genres, including pop, country, rap, jazz and classical.
Would-be contestants will be able to upload their work to the site, where it will be reviewed by Internet listeners and celebrity judges, Fluid Audio Networks said.
