Chicago Clinches a Berth

Raymond Philyaw threw four touchdown passes, and the Chicago Rush clinched its fifth consecutive playoff berth with a 45-21 victory over the Nashville Kats on Sunday at Nashville.

The Rush (9-7) will play the Avengers in an American Conference semifinal Sunday at Staples Center.

T.T. Toliver scored three touchdowns for the Kats (6-9-1).

Orlando 51, New Orleans 40 -- The Predators (10-6) clinched the No. 3 seeding in the playoffs by beating the VooDoo (9-7) at Orlando, Fla.

Joe Hamilton passed for 276 yards and three touchdowns and scored once for the Predators (10-6), who will play the New York Dragons (10-6).

Dallas 77, Philadelphia 63 -- Clint Stoerner threw for 230 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Desperados (8-7-1) past the Soul at Dallas. Tony Graziani passed for 356 yards and six touchdowns for the Soul (6-10).

Tampa Bay 78, Columbus 53 -- Shane Stafford threw for 277 yards and five touchdowns at Columbus, Ohio, to help the Storm (10-6) clinch a playoff berth. The Destroyers finished with a league-worst 2-14 record.

Arizona 49, Las Vegas 42 -- Sherdrick Bonner threw six touchdown passes at Las Vegas, and the Rattlers (7-9) ended the Gladiators’ hopes of a playoff berth. Clint Dolezel threw for 327 yards for Las Vegas (8-8).
