From Times Wire Reports

Jack Abramoff, a GOP lobbyist under investigation by federal authorities for possible fraud, repeatedly sought the help of Christian conservative Ralph Reed to open doors at the White House for his business clients, according to e-mails reported by Time magazine.

The e-mails indicate that Abramoff also pushed for intervention from White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove on at least three occasions to promote business opportunities.

Reed, the former head of the Christian Coalition who is planning to run for lieutenant governor in Georgia in 2006, wrote back obliging responses, according to the e-mails, which are being reviewed by federal investigators, Time reported.
