Granite Broadcasting files for Chapter 11
Granite Broadcasting Corp., owner of television stations in California and New York, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Granite was forced into bankruptcy in part by the demise of the WB Network, which made it impossible to sell the company’s station in San Francisco, the New York-based broadcaster said.
