Big brothers all
Re “The ‘YouTube effect,’ ” Opinion, Dec. 20
Moises Naim is certainly correct about how videos taken by citizens are going to have a profoundly positive effect on governments’ actions. It is interesting to consider that not so long ago, George Orwell, in his book “1984,” predicted that eventually all citizens would be monitored at all times by the watchful eye of a “big brother” totalitarian government, but, actually, the opposite has happened. It is the citizens who are watching the government. We are big brother, as we should be.
