Another arrest in schoolyard killings
Authorities arrested a sixth suspect in the execution-style killings of three college students in a Newark schoolyard.
“The final suspect in this heinous crime has been arrested, and the city is grateful,” Newark Mayor Cory A. Booker said.
Like the other suspects, Melvin Jovel, 18, was charged with three counts of murder in the Aug. 4 shootings in which the victims, police said, were forced to kneel in front of a wall behind an elementary school and were shot in the back of the head.
