Times shows bias in article on Iran
Re “Iran alleges U.S. link to deadly militant attack,” Feb. 19
Your article provides a misleading picture of the recent acts of terrorism in Iran. It tacitly lends legitimacy to flagrant acts of terrorism by a known terrorist group condemned by the United Nations by falsely linking it to Iran’s Sunni Muslims, who have lived peaceably with their Shiite brethren in Iran for centuries and have no relation to any kind of terrorism. The article refrains from using the word “terrorism,” a clear sign of biased reporting and double standards. It embraces the view of certain right-wing experts regarding the inevitability of the breakup of multi-ethnic nations. This is a dangerous idea that is not only contrary to international norms, it also threatens regional and international stability, and yet is in line with the divisive policies of the United States deplored by the international community.
We deplore the fact that such biased reports on Iran inundate the U.S. media on a daily basis.
