* at Tampa Bay 10, Baltimore 9: Rocco Baldelli hit a game-winning double in the ninth inning and the American League East-leading Rays rallied from a four-run deficit. Nick Markakis hit a tying home run with two outs in the ninth for the Orioles.

* at Oakland 3, Minnesota 2: Bobby Crosby and Emil Brown each scored on a throwing error by closer Joe Nathan in the ninth inning, giving the Athletics their 10th walkoff win this season and second in three days.

* Toronto 7, at New York 6: Vernon Wells hit a two-run home run, Gregg Zaun drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning and the Blue Jays overcame a 6-2 deficit after six innings.

* Kansas City 13, at Detroit 3: Billy Butler drove in four runs in his first career multi-homer game to help the Royals end a four-game skid. Butler homered in the second inning and hit a three-run drive in the sixth.

* Seattle 4, at Cleveland 3 (10 innings): Raul Ibanez singled in the go-ahead run to spark the Mariners’ two-run 10th inning. Shin-Soo Choo’s two-run home run tied the score, 2-2, in the bottom of the ninth inning.

* at Boston 8, Chicago 2: Dustin Pedroia was four for four for the second consecutive game to lead the Red Sox over the White Sox.

* at Angels 4, Texas 3: Torii Hunter stole a home run from the Rangers for the second game in a row and the Angels rallied twice to reduce their magic number to nine for clinching their fourth AL West title in five years.
