Update -- Sparks Coach Michael Cooper seemed convinced after his team’s 77-69 victory Friday night in Game 1 that Seattle center Lauren Jackson would play today. Jackson has been sidelined since Aug. 28 after undergoing ankle surgery. “The basketball gods are telling me that she will be starting on Sunday,” Cooper said. “She was walking pretty well, to me, on the other end when I was watching her. They’re a good team without her but an even better team with her. We have to be prepared for anything.” Seattle Coach Brian Agler contradicted the basketball gods a few minutes later, saying Jackson would not be available in Game 2.
