Holes in the plan?
Re “L.A. may loosen watering rules for city parks, large land parcels,” July 23
When the city imposed water restrictions this summer, I, along with many other homeowners, abided by these restrictions because it was the right thing to do, even though our lawns and vegetation would suffer.
Then I read in your paper that the city is contemplating exempting large property owners, including golf courses, cemeteries, colleges and school districts, from these watering restrictions.
If the purpose is to conserve as much water as possible, how do these exemptions accomplish this?
