Times Staff and Wire Reports

Griffin International Cos. is recalling about 220,000 charging stations for Nintendo Wii game controllers because the devices, sold under the Psyclone and React brand names, can overheat and pose a burn or fire hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The Minneapolis company has received six reports of battery packs on the Wii 4-Dock Recharge Station overheating, with two consumers receiving minor burns to their hands, the agency said.

The products’ model numbers, Psyclone (PSE6501) and React (RT530), can be found on the bottom of the controller dock.
