The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan and Iraq:

Julian T. Brennan, 25, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Brennan died Jan. 24 while supporting combat operations in Farah province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Grant A. Cotting, 19, of Corona; private, Army. Cotting died Jan. 24 in Kut, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a non- combat-related incident. He was assigned to the 515th Sapper Company, 5th Engineer Battalion, 4th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.

Kyle J. Harrington, 24, of Swansea, Mass.; sergeant, Army. Harrington died Jan. 24 in Basra, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a nonhostile accident in his unit motor pool. He was assigned to the 542nd Maintenance Company, 80th Ordnance Battalion, 593rd Sustainment Brigade at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Trevor J. Johnson, 23, of Forsyth, Mont.; sergeant, Marine Corps. Johnson was one of two Marines killed Tuesday while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Matthew G. Kelley, 30, of Cameron, Mo.; chief warrant officer, Army. Kelley was one of four soldiers killed Monday when two Kiowa Warrior helicopters crashed in Kirkuk, Iraq. He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y.

Joshua M. Tillery, 31, of Beaverton, Ore.; chief warrant officer, Army. Tillery was one of four soldiers killed Monday when two Kiowa Warrior helicopters crashed in Kirkuk, Iraq. He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y.

Benjamin H. Todd, 29, of Colville, Wash.; chief warrant officer, Army. Todd was one of four soldiers killed Monday when two Kiowa Warrior helicopters crashed in Kirkuk, Iraq. He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y.

David W. Wallace III, 25, of Sharpsville, Pa.; sergeant, Marine Corps. Wallace was one of two Marines killed Tuesday while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Philip E. Windorski Jr., 35, of Bovey, Minn.; chief warrant officer, Army. Windorski was one of four soldiers killed Monday when two Kiowa Warrior helicopters crashed in Kirkuk, Iraq. He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y.
