Apple chief designer Jony Ive is reportedly leading a significant interface redesign of Mac OS X, the software used for the company’s desktop and laptop computers.

The redesign is expected to be unveiled in June at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference, where Apple typically makes its software announcements. The redesign is a top priority at Apple right now, according to the report Monday by 9to5Mac.

Last year, Ive led a similar redesign for iOS, the company’s iPhone and iPad software. Ive’s iOS 7 introduced the use of flat design and many vibrant colors.

9to5Mac said the Mac OS X overhaul won’t be as drastic as what users saw in iOS 7, but that many of the elements that were introduced into the iPhone and iPad software interface last year will likely also be added into Mac OS X.

Apple is also considering adding Siri to the next version of Mac OS X, according to the report.
