The Origins of the Universe and the Arrow of Time Explore the mysteries of the ages when Santa Monica College kicks off its fall literary series with Sean Carroll, the Cal Tech professor of theoretical physics and astrophysics behind Discover Magazine’s Cosmic Variance blog. Low The Duluth, Minn.-based trio have long released minimalist, haunting dirges that almost single-handedly created the slow-core subgenre, driven by Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker’s fragile harmonies.
