Firefighters battle 150-acre brush fire in Angeles National Forest
Firefighters were battling a brush fire Thursday afternoon that had burned about 150 acres in the Angeles National Forest.
The blaze broke out in San Francisquito Canyon and was being fought by crews on the ground with the U.S. Forest Service and Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Water-dropping helicopters and air tankers were making water and fire-retardant drops on the flames. More air tankers were being ordered up by commanders on the ground, said Nathan Judy, spokesman for the Angeles National Forest.
