Reader photo: From head to toe

Share

Many of the attendees of Olvera Street’s annual Dia de los Muertos festival in downtown Los Angeles sport faces painted like calaveras de azucar, or sugar skulls.

But one little girl caught the attention of George Sifuentes because she -- unlike many around her -- was adorned “from head-to-toe in detailed costume and makeup,” the street photographer said.

Sifuentes shot the image with an iPhone 4S underneath the florescent lights of La Placita Church.
