Earthquake: 3.4-magnitude temblor strikes near Anza, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Sunday morning seven miles from Anza, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:10 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 7.5 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 21 miles from La Quinta, Calif., and 22 miles from Palm Desert, Calif.

In the last 10 days, there have been four earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
