Woman arrested for alleged sex abuse
Los Angeles police have arrested a female Juvenile Hall employee suspected of sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy in custody, authorities said Tuesday.
Kimberly Holt, 34, was arrested Friday and was being held on $200,000 bail for investigation of oral copulation of a minor, said LAPD Officer Marjan Mobasser.
Jane Robison, a district attorney’s spokeswoman, said that prosecutors had not charged Holt with a crime and that the investigation was ongoing.
David Davies, chief deputy for the county Probation Department, said Holt had worked as a custodian at Central Juvenile Hall for about a year. She has been suspended without pay.
Davies would not elaborate on details of the case, including when the act allegedly occurred and what prompted the inquiry.
