Alex Tanguay scored at 1:18 of overtime to lift the Colorado Avalanche to a 5-4 victory over the Ducks in a preseason game at Pepsi Center in Denver on Tuesday night.

Conner Bleackley, Mikko Rantanen, Jack Skille and Nick Holden scored in regulation for the Avalanche.

Semyon Varlamov and Roman Will each gave up two goals.

Varlamov had 15 saves in his nearly 40 minutes and Will stopped nine shots.

Jiri Sekac scored two goals, and Julius Nattinen and Chris Wagner added one apiece for the Ducks. John Gibson finished with 26 saves.
