Cross country: Loyola’s Charlie Sherman leads Division 2 qualifiers at prelims
At the Southern Section cross country prelims on Saturday, Loyola’s Charlie Sherman led all Division 2 qualifiers with a time of 14:54.5.
Steven Kahn of Ayala ran 14:55.4 to win his Division 2 heat.
Loyola is the heavy favorite to win a Division 2 title next week. Jack Arnold of West Ranch ran 15:03.2.
San Marcos and Claremont were the top two team qualifiers in their heat of the girls Division 2. Erica Schroeder of San Marcos ran 17:05.5.
Saugus led its Division 2 heat. Kaylee Thompson of Saugus ran 17:10.7.
