Cross country: Malibu’s Claudia Lane, Arroyo Grande’s Christian Ricketts lead qualifers

Claudia Lane of Malibu had the fastest time of the day in the girls’ races on Friday at the Southern Section cross country prelims in Riverside.

She ran 16:51.5.

Christian Ricketts of Arroya Grande topped the boys’ races with a time of 14:49.6.
