Football: A film full of emotion about Santa Monica High players embracing Matt
The Santa Monica High football team last season learned lots of life lessons embracing Matthew Tapia, a senior who overcome being born three months pre-mature at a mere 1.5 pounds.
Tapia decided to join the football team, and Seth Shapiro put together a short film on how a “brave coach and some open minded kids” ended up being inspired by Matt, rallying around him and thriving in his presence.
At a time when people are concerned about bullying, this is a short film that shows what can happen when teenagers look for the good in others.
As Shapiro said, it’s “a film about the power of never giving up.”
