Football: QB Brady White faces Valencia defense
The Foothill League championship will be decided on Friday night when Hart plays at Valencia, and Hart quarterback Brady White will get another opportunity to face a Valencia defense that has frustrated him at times.
As a sophomore, he threw two interceptions against the Vikings in a loss.
As a junior, he had two interceptions in another loss. He had four interceptions in Hart’s Southern Section championship win over Valencia.
That’s eight interceptions over two seasons that Valencia has made against one of the top quarterbacks.
Of course, Valencia will not only need to focus on stopping White but also receiver Trent Irwin, who caught six touchdowns last week against Saugus.
“You have to game plan for Irwin,” Valencia Coach Larry Muir said Sunday night while watching film late into the evening.
