Ducks’ Nick Bonino, Mathieu Perreault, Kyle Palmieri back at practice
What looked like a troubling turn of misfortune among Ducks forwards Thursday night transformed into a sigh of relief Friday morning.
Centers Nick Bonino and Mathieu Perreault, who left Thursday’s 6-0 victory over the New York Rangers early because of lower body injuries, returned to skate at Friday’s practice.
Also Friday, forward Kyle Palmieri returned to practice after getting hit in the head on the road and missing Thursday’s game. Perreault, who has two goals, left Thursday’s game first after getting bumped in the head.
Wing Dustin Penner, who departed Thursday’s game with an upper body injury in the third period after scoring a second-period goal, was among a group of veterans who skipped Friday’s optional workout.
Penner is described as day to day, while Bonino and Perreault were declared good to play in Sunday’s 5 p.m. game at Honda Center versus the Ottawa Senators.
