Is it the curse of Kevin Kolb? Maybe it’s the curse of the Buffalo Bills, who can’t seem to find a quality starting quarterback.

Let the debate begin after Kolb injured his left knee when he slipped on a wet rubber mat while running between practice fields at the Bills’ training camp in Pittsford, N.Y., on Saturday.

Buffalo Coach Doug Marrone told the media that the injury is not serious and he expects Kolb to return to practice during this coming week. The Bills listed the veteran quarterback as day to day.

Kolb reportedly stumbled on the mat when running from one field to another with other offensive players. He was examined on the field by trainer Bud Carpenter before heading to the locker room.

The six-year veteran has been besieged by injuries after earning the starting job with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010. He was traded to Arizona in 2011 and was hit with injuries in both seasons with the Cardinals.

Kolb injured his ribs in a game against the Bills in Week 6 last season and did not play again for the Cardinals.

Buffalo brought in Kolb this off-season before drafting Florida State’s E.J. Manuel with the 16th overall draft pick this spring. The only other quarterback in camp is free-agent rookie Jeff Tuel of Washington State.
