Top-ranked Arizona leads USC, 34-31, at halftime

Arizona’s top-ranked basketball team led USC, 34-31, at halftime Sunday night, but the Trojans put up a stiff fight.

USC led, 27-23, with about five minutes left in the half before the unbeaten Wildcats pulled ahead at the Galen Center.

Arizona was led by junior guard T.J. McConnell, who has converted all three of his three-point shots and had 11 points overall.

Byron Wesley, also a junior guard, led USC with nine points.
