Jeremy Lin meets his match in Jon Stewart [Video]

Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin is everywhere. Turn on the TV, you see Jeremy Lin. Go out to dinner, you hear people talking about Jeremy Lin. Go to sleep, dream about Jeremy Lin (whoops, I may have shared too much).

Now “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” has turned its attention to Lin.

On the mock news show Thursday, “senior black correpsondent” Larry Wilmore feigned outrage at Lin. “How can it be that in the middle of Black History Month, an Asian kid comes in and does this?” he complained.

Wilmore went on to note that Carmelo Anthony’s job had been outsourced to Asia, and that basketball was just another thing, like jazz and rock ‘n’ roll, that had been taken from black people.

Stewart protested, and that is when Wilmore delivered the coup de grace, playing a clip of Lin saying “I feel like I’m living a dream.”

You have a dream?” Wilmore said, referencing Martin Luther King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech.

All in all a hilarious bit, with Stewart and Wilmore obviously hoping to parlay Lin’s popularity into increased ratings. The things people will stoop to in order to get page views. I mean, ratings.
