The CEO of Callaway has joined the board of Jack in the Box. Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. appointed Brian Dorsey as vice president of manufacturing and program management.

Long Beach-based First Consulting Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:FCGI) today announced the resignation of Steven Heck as president and as a member of its board of directors, effective immediately. The company indicated that Mr. Heck is leaving to pursue other interests.

Tarzana-based DigiContractor, Inc. today announced that Richard “Pete” Robbins and Joel Grasmeyer have agreed to join its board of directors. Robbins is currently owner of NextPoint Webs, a web hosting company and NextPoint Technologies, a computer consulting firm. Grasmeyer is the founder and president of PropertyTracker.com, a web-based software program that helps real estate investors evaluate potential investment properties before they buy, and tracks the performance of the properties they already own.

Irvine-based US Modular, a manufacturer of power, personal memory and storage products, announced today that Don Garnevicus has been hired as product manager. Garnevicus will work with customer service and engineering to bring US Modular products to market as fast as possible and will help to launch the company’s cutting-edge product line. Garnevicus formerly worked as the OEM sales manager for Linear.

San Diego-based Jack in the Box Inc. (NYSE: JBX), today announced that George Fellows has joined the company’s board of directors, effective Nov. 9. Fellows is president, CEO and a board member of Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY). The company, which is based in Carlsbad, manufactures and sells golf clubs and golf accessories under the Callaway Golf, Top-Flite, Odyssey and Ben Hogan brands.

San Diego-based Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOMX) announced the appointment of Brian Dorsey as vice president of manufacturing and program management, a newly created position. Dorsey was previously the company’s executive director, manufacturing and program management. Prior to joining Somaxon in March of 2005, Dorsey served as head of project management and planning at the former Maxim Pharmaceuticals.
