NBA analyst Brad Daugherty sells his renovated ranch home in Santa Barbara
NBA analyst and NASCAR team owner Brad Daugherty has passed his home in Santa Barbara on to a new owner, selling the Hope Ranch-area estate for $2.375 million.
It’s a quick turnaround for the former basketball pro, who just a year ago bought the property for about $2.356 million. He was asking as much as $2.795 million for the ranch-style home.
Reached by a winding drive, the two-plus-acre spread includes a swimming pool with a spa, a two-stall barn and a tack room.
The single-story home, built in 1953 and recently remodeled, features inlaid wood floors, skylights and recessed lighting. Bi-folding walls of glass slide away for indoor-outdoor living.
An open-plan living room, three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and powder room are within 2,136 square feet of space. An updated kitchen has white subway tile and a stainless steel range.
Outdoors, there’s a stone patio with a fire pit and a built-in barbecue. A cabana with an outdoor shower complements the pool. Mature oaks, palms and lush landscaping fill the rest of the grounds.

The 50-year-old Daugherty was the No.1 pick in the 1986 NBA Draft. He played eight seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, making five all-star teams.
The retired player turned racing team owner currently works as a college basketball and NBA analyst for ESPN.
