Jack Lemmon retreat in Malibu is up for lease

Share

A Malibu beach house that actress-model Felicia Farr shared with her late husband, actor Jack Lemmon, is up for lease at $12,500 a month.

The beach retreat, with ocean and sunset views, has dining, family and living rooms, a solarium, three bedrooms, three bathrooms and 2,560 square feet of living space. There’s a detached guesthouse above the garage, a rooftop deck and a courtyard.

A lagoon-style swimming pool lined with boulders sits next to the lawn.

Built in 1989, the two-story red-brick-clad home has ornate wrought-iron balcony railings, arched windows and white shutters -- an unusual beach look. Thick beams, vaulted ceilings and a spiraling wooden staircase are among interior features.

Lemmon, who died in 2001 at 76, starred in scores of films including the classic “Some Like It Hot” (1959), “The Odd Couple” films and “Grumpy Old Men” (1993). He won Academy Awards for his work in “Save the Tiger” (1973) and “Mister Roberts” (1955).

Christopher Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker is the listing agent.
