House that NBC Broadcasting chairman Ted Harbert owned with ex sells in Pacific Palisades for $13.275 million

A Pacific Palisades home once owned by NBC Broadcasting Chairman Ted Harbert and his ex-wife, Susan, sold in Pacific Palisades recently for $13.275 million.

The East Coast-looking traditional was aptly described in the listing as “understated” and “elegant.” Inlaid wood floors, crown molding and built-in cabinetry add to the executive vibe.

Built in 1998, the house and guesthouse sit on two acres of park-like grounds with a swimming pool and a sports court. The 9,392 square feet of living space include a center hall, dining and family rooms, a media room, an office, a gym, a wine cellar, five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Harbert, 59, remarried in 2011 and property records indicate that, after a deed transfer last year, Susan Harbert was the seller.

He also owns a penthouse condo in Marina del Rey from his days with Chelsea Handler (her name appears in the ownership record in 2009). Handler hosts the talk-show "Chelsea Lately," which will end its seven-year run with a live show Aug. 26.

The designer-decorated, ocean-view unit includes a 100-gallon fish tank in the foyer, three bedrooms, four bathrooms and 3,319 square feet of living space. It is listed at $3.699 million.

Stephen Sigoloff of the Agency was the listing agent for the Pacific Palisades home. Aileen Comora and Paul Lester, also with the Agency, represented the buyer.

Hannah DelPonte and Ryan Sokolowski of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices are the listing agents for the penthouse, which is also available for lease at $14,000 a month.
