Former Los Angeles Kings head coach Terry Murray has put his home in Manhattan Beach on the market at $2.5 million.

The three-story town house, built in 2005, takes in ocean views from its corner location near the Strand. Inside, open interiors feature walnut flooring, copper fixtures and mosaic stone.

A gourmet kitchen, a dining room with a stone fireplace and multiple balconies are among the amenities. In all, the home counts three bedrooms, three full baths and 1,960 square feet of living space.

The beach city has become a popular location for collegiate and professional sports figures, particularly with the Lakers and Kings players and coaches. Among the notable athletes who call Manhattan Beach home are Steve Nash, Dustin Brown and Kurt Rambis.

Murray purchased the property during his first season with the Kings, paying $1.8 million for the home in November 2008. Following his firing in 2011, he later leased the town house to the man who replaced him on the bench, current Kings head coach Darryl Sutter.

The 63-year-old also was the coach of the Washington Capitals (1989-94), Philadelphia Flyers (1994-97) and Florida Panthers (1998-2001). He is currently the head coach of the Adirondack Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers.

John Corrales of Coldwell Banker Residential is the listing agent.
