Adam Levine of ‘The Voice’ sells Hollywood Hills home
Perhaps coach Adam Levine of “The Voice” got tired of being “the landlord.” At any rate, the Maroon 5 frontman has sold his Hollywood Hills home for $3.55 million in an off-market deal.
The remodeled Midcentury Modern-style home sits on a half-acre lot with a separate guest unit. Features include two interior fireplaces, a home theater, an exercise room, a security system, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Walls of glass open to an outdoor fireplace, swimming pool and spa.
Levine, 34, is the lead singer and guitarist for the Grammy-winning pop rock band Maroon 5. He has worked with Kanye West, Natasha Bedingfield and 50 Cent, among others. The singer-songwriter became a coach on “The Voice” two years ago. He launched a fragrance line this year.
He bought the property in 2005 for $3.195 million and had been leasing it out at $10,000 a month. Last fall, the Real Estalker blog reported that the musician was floating the Hollywood Hills home for sale as a pocket listing in the high $3-million range.
Levine bought a ranch-style house on 3.6 acres in the Beverly Crest area in October for $4.83 million.
Condo can’t contain superhero
Actress Scarlett Johansson continues to clean house in the Los Angeles real estate market.
Last year she sold the Wong House in Los Feliz for $3.5 million. Now she has unloaded what Celebuzz calls her “bachelorette pad” in Hollywood for $470,000, public records show.
The unit, with city views, features one bedroom, two bathrooms, marble countertops and 1,148 square feet of living space. Amenities at the building, constructed in 1965, include a doorman, a swimming pool and a gym.
Johansson, 28, starred last year as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in “The Avengers” and will reprise the role next year in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” She played Janet Leigh in “Hitchcock” (2012) and she’ll star in “Don Jon,” due out in September.
The condo was purchased in 2003 for $372,000.

Sunset Strip living at $28.8 million
Actor Brad Blumenthal and co-developer/owner Leo Hauser have an investment property in Hollywood Hills West for sale at $28.8 million.
Perched above the Sunset Strip, the more than one-acre compound has panoramic city views and 13,000 square feet of living space in three structures — a main house, a guesthouse and a gym/wellness center above the garage.
Designed by Hagy Belzberg, the contemporary estate features spaces for indoor-outdoor living, a swimming pool and a lawn. There are eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
Blumenthal played Jerry Lewis in “Pulp Fiction” (1994). He has been in such movies as “Volcano” (1997) and “Goosed” (1999).

‘Scandal’ star lists bungalow
Actress Darby Stanchfield has listed a home in the Hollywood Hills for $969,000.
The bungalow, which boasts its “celebrity-owned” status in the listing, was built in 1922. Features include three bedrooms, four bathrooms, 1,608 square feet of living space and a detached guesthouse.
Stanchfield, 42, has starred on the series “Scandal” since last year. She also has appeared on “Castle” and “NCIS.”
She bought the property for $975,000 in 2006, according to public records.

It’s a wrap for producer
Producer Bill Fay has put his Westside home up for sale at $2.899 million.

Fay’s credits include being executive producer on films including “Sucker Punch” (2011), “The Hangover” (2009), “The Patriot” (2000) and “Independence Day” (1996). He bought the property in 2002 for $1.65 million, public records show.
The Multiple Listing Service considers the home in the 90210 ZIP Code to be within the Beverly Hills Post Office area. The Los Angeles Times Mapping Database places it in Beverly Crest.
