Actor Morris Chestnut, of “Boyz N the Hood” fame, has sold his equestrian property in Hidden Hills as a short sale for $2.3 million.

The six-bedroom, 61/2-bathroom Mediterranean sits on 2.4 acres that include a tennis court, a swimming pool, a covered patio, a barbecue area, a pasture and a five-stall stable. A long driveway leads past mature trees and an expansive lawn to a porte-cochere.

The 5,522-square-foot house, built in 1974 and remodeled during Chestnut’s ownership, has a suite with a separate entrance on one floor, and all other living areas on the main floor. There are open-beam ceilings, stone floors and French doors.

Since his breakthrough role in the 1991 film, Chestnut has appeared in a steady stream of films and television shows. His more recent work includes the series “American Horror Story” (2011) and “V” (2009-11).

Chestnut, 43, bought the property in 2007 for $3.3 million.

Marc Shevin of Prudential California Realty was the listing agent. Emil Hartoonian of Ewing Sotheby’s represented the buyer.
