Tennis legend Pete Sampras and his wife, actress Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, have quietly sold their Lake Sherwood-area compound near Thousand Oaks in an off-market deal. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The hilltop estate had been listed at $19.95 million but was taken off the Multiple Listing Service this summer.

The gated contemporary sits on 20 acres with 360-degree views, a north-south tennis court and a swimming pool. The more than 13,000-square-foot main house has a combined theater and game room plus a separate poker room.

Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olsen & Associates, Westlake Village, who represented the Samprases, declined to comment on the transaction. Tammy Zhu of Coldwell Banker represented the buyers. [Updated at 4:26 p.m. Oct. 31: The buyers were identified as Mr. and Mrs. Yan Zhou, investors from China.]
